Day 5: Welcome to Cairns

Before we left our hotel, I wanted to show everyone how we kept the lights on in our hotel. When you enter your room at the Adina Apartment Hotel, there are no lights on. You have to insert your key into a slot and that gives the entire apartment electricity. I guess this how you make sure no one leaves lights on when they leave their hotel room.

We made it to the airport exactly 1 hour from our flight departure time. Luckily we ran through the terminal, flew thru security and made it to our gate with time to spare. Next stop, Cairns, Australia.

Welcome to Cairns, Australia!!

We got off in the back, everyone else is still on the plane. They boujee, we are just glad we made it.

We saw our name this time when we landed. Looks like we will be taking a bus to our resort.

While waiting for our bags to come around, I heard an announcement asking for someone from the Morris party to come to the service desk. When we arrived we were informed that one our bags did not make the flight because there was a battery in it. After informing them that they could check the bag, they let us know that it would be sent on the next flight over and they would drop it off at out resort. No need to say who's bag it was, but it wasn't Charm, Dominique or I.

It was about a 30 minute drive to our resort. We were surrounded by sugar cane.

Once we arrived at Paradise on the Beach, it was time for lunch and laughs.

Charm and Dominique taking some time to hang out with the Blues Brothers.

Everyone loves to take pictures with trees. Here is Charm enjoying the beach.

Dominique likes to climb the trees.

Of course we had to take a nice walk on the pier. We spotted crabs and other fish in the ocean.

Dominique taking a walk along the beach.

We are so happy to be in some warmer weather. We can not wait to go to the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow.
