Day 2: Welcome to Melbourne!

We landed in Melbourne, Australia at 6:30am on Sunday, June 11th, 2017. (We completely missed Saturday)

We are finally off the plane and headed to customs.
(Customs Update: While going thru customs, photos are not allowed but I had to inform everyone of what happened during our transition in Australia. If, you didn't know, you are not allowed to bring any fruits into the country. While being sniffed by a Dog in customs, he stopped at 1 of us and sat down, signaling his carrier to search that person's bag. Who was it? The Apple Queen herself, Reponzell Morris. We were held in customs and she was questioned by a customs agent on if she had any fruits in that bag. Nervously, she answered No, but remembered she had stored 2 apples in the bag prior to departing the plane. She had eaten 1 and the other she threw away. After making us sweat for 10 min, we were released. Thank you Lord! We didn't know what to do if Mom had gotten locked up for trying to bring fruit in the country. LOL.)

Once thru customs we were met by our driver, Anin. We were all excited because we thought he was going to have one of those signs with our names on it. Sadly, he had his phone out and it only had dad's name on it. lol.

Welcome to Melbourne, Australia!!!

Anin picked us up in style, a Mercedes Van. Mom was very pleased. 

We made dad ride in the front with Anin. If this photo seems off to you, your mind is not playing a trick on you. In Australia, the steering wheel is on the right side of the vehicle and they drive on the left side of the road. When dad went to get in the car, he quickly realized he was on the wrong side. We all had a good laugh.

Dominique and Erika riding backwards to the Hotel. If you are wondering why we all have on jackets and hoodies. It is a chilly 17 degrees Celsius in Melbourne. (AKA 62 degrees Fahrenheit) 

The Ferris Wheel in the back takes 30 minutes to complete a full rotation. We were excited to spot Costco nearby. 

The Architecture in Melbourne is phenomenal. They have many bright colored buildings that bring the city to life. 

Once we arrived to the Adina Apartment Hotel in Melbourne, we decided to get breakfast and hit the streets of Melbourne. Mainly because we couldn't check in to our room until 2pm. Once we checked into our room, we all took showers and laid down for some much needed sleep.

Rest today because tomorrow, the fun begins again.
